Join us for a fun and interactive DIY workshop where we'll guide you through every step of creating your own self-sustaining, self-regulating tabletop ecosystem. Immerse yourself in this unique process of building a tropical closed terrarium, along with the knowledge you need to keep it healthy and happy. Come enjoy the relaxing and creative atmosphere while learning a new skill. Location: The Sister Studio Address: 133 5 Ave SW, Bay #3, High River, AB Date: Saturday , Sept 28th Time: 1:00PM-3:00PM Length of Workshop: 1.5 – 2 hours Age Restriction: If attendee is under 13, attendee must be accompanied by a parent. Please provide name of attendees for this booking. Max 1 adult per attendee under 13 due to space. What's Included: - An instructor led step-by-step workshop - 6 inch terrarium jar with lid - 4 to 5 tropical variety cuttings/mini plants (will vary depending on availability) - 3 types live moss to choose from - All supplies, tools and decorative materials are all included. - Take home care kit - Optional: add springtails to your closed terrarium for $5. Springtails are tiny beneficial for terrariums in several ways that helps to break down organic matter in the soil, which can improve nutrient availability for plants. They also help to prevent the buildup of harmful bacteria and fungi by feeding on decaying matter. - A choice of a beverage and snacks Plants, design and décor options will vary. The workshop is non-refundable but can only be transferred to another person for this event. A minimum of 6 participants is required for the class to run. Price includes taxes and fees. If the minimum class requirement is not met. No refund for workshops however, it can be transferred to another person if you are unable to make the attendance for this workshop. The workshop may be rescheduled or refunded with a credit for another workshop.
